About our online birthday fundraiser:
December is a month of celebrations, and here is one you can add to your calendar: hotpoet has a birthday! We applied for our nonprofit status just in time to kiss 2020 goodbye. That means hotpoet, Inc. celebrates its first birthday this month! Of course we have been around a lot longer than that, (unofficially) building community and supporting the arts—but we are especially proud of our accomplishments in 2021. Not only did we publish , but we launched a bi-annual literary journal, , which showcases the works of some phenomenal artists and writers. With the help of judges enlisted from the community, we were able to honor their efforts with publication as well as several cash prizes—and we hosted some stellar celebrations throughout the year as well.
